How’s everyone doing with the #24in48 #readathon so far! This was the perfect weekend for me to participate in this! Our newest furbaby, Jyn, was spayed yesterday, so she needs a quiet weekend just as much as I do. We are readin’, chillin’ and hatin’ on the cone of shame together! By the way, I am working on an advanced reader copy of “Mr. Rochester” by Sarah Shoemaker. As a huge devotee of “Jane Eyre”, I am absolutely loving it so far! What are you reading? Let me know in the comments!
Lunch time and the next book on deck! Using the readathon to get caught up on my early review copies! This title is too good to resist!
This book could not be more timely considering the conversation about sexual assault in this country. Realistic insights into the rape culture that has permeated college campuses. Highlights the dangers of drinking, what consent is and isn’t, as well as how the investigative process often victimizes the victim all over again. We have to do better as a nation to stop this violence against women and reading books like this and educating our young men and women is definitely a place to start.
About to finish Wrecked and needed a mid-morning healthy jump start. Grapes? Yes please! Yum!
Had to move the readathon inside as I am actually chilly in Texas. Time to snuggle in the snoodle chair!
Hour two and the cats insisted we move the readathon outside. It’s one of the first nice days in Houston this fall, as in I’m not sweating to death. How are you doing where you are?
Starting at 7am CST, I will be live blogging here on my website, tweeting @igotthebookscom, and on Litsy @Sara_Planz, during one of the best days of the year, Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon. Join me and our fellow booknerds for this epic 24 hour event! I’ve got my list and will be getting my snacks today. Are you ready?!?
